Survival Again Today
Side by side they walk down the path,
with son walking alittle behind.
Stopping to eat a bite now and then,
only good things on their mind.
Was a beautiful cool day late Autumn,
knowing soon Winters on the way.
Dad and Mom steadly looking around,
for a nice place for them to stay.
Then ahead they heard a quite sound,
suddenly the sound of a rifle crack.
The old Buck went down to his knees,
Bullet had grazed across his back.
Jumping up he went left and her a right,
the little fella following his Mother.
Had praticed this many times for this day,
and again they saved each other.
They will find a place now for some rest,
tomorrow,they will be going again.
Winter will be coming this way real soon,
so will be needing a place to live in.
