Way Back When

Way Back Then
![]()
Back then when I was young,
Saturday was my big day.
Up before the rooster crowed,
would eat and out to play.
Maybe build a tree house today,
are riding our bikes was fun.
Mom always call at lunch time,
I'd hit the kitchen at a run.
Now reaching the age that I am,
that's when I sleep in late.
Spend a hour in the bathroom,
now before I fill a plate.
Today poems about all that I do,
don't wont to tired before noon.
racing a wheelchair might be fun,
if it just didn't stop to soon.
everything I thinks about the same,
with the medicine we may toil.
now take things for ache and pain,
back then, it was caster oil.
But still have fun chasing the gals
on bikes are a wheelchair.
And if I can get in close enough.
I still got to pull their hair.
