A Forgotten Church

Off down the road a little peice,
a small Church you will see.
yard was kept oh! so beautiful,
hidden beneath the trees.

It's members old and died away,
yet no one seemed to care.
No music coming from it's walls,
all pew's they look so bare.

Where flowers sit upon the alter,
in the vase are old dry stems.
Bibles in the pews don't chance.
for Gods word is still in them.

Say, do I hear foot steps out side,
Yes,a man of God came in.
saying Church will open Sunday,
and service will start at ten.

Could hear the paint brush flaping,
the hammering through the hall.
Oh! but come Sunday morning early,
there were folks from wall to wall.

Doors now are always open to all,
if Gods word you need to hear.
So if no one else to talk with you,
you can bet God will be there.

God's Blessing to all
