We Never Get Old

So many times I sat alone,
and feeling, so very sad.
As I don't see like I used to,
at times it makes me mad.

Thinking of times when young,
of the things I used to do.
The kids I used to play with,
it's just at times it makes me blue.

That's when I look up to God,
thinking at this age why must I cry.
I feel very old in this life,
yet always as child in His eyes.

He tells me hang on my Child,
I know your life is tough.
Just enjoy all things on Earth,
I'll be there when it get rough.

That's when we'll leave for Heaven,
and again your eyes will see.
You'll be where there is no pain,
my child, you'll spend eternity with me.
