Flying Higher Than I've Ever Been

I've heard once a bird that had a broken wing,
it can't ever fly high again.
Let me tell you what I know, it's not alway so,
for once I lay broken and yet I soar.
I fell from above like a wounded dove,
with no hope's of ever flying again.
But grace from above, God's marvelous love,
I'm flying higher then I've ever been.
Higher than I ever been, higher then yesterdays sin.
Where Eagles can't soar I can see heaven's door.
I'm flying higher than I've ever been.
I fell by the wayside like a wounded prey
and ole satan like a vulture he is swept low,
during my darkest hour he came to devour,
what was left of my dying soul.
Yet the Lord protected and lifted me
higher than I'd ever been before.
