God's Chosen People

God created man in His Image for fellowship,
Their disobedience, brought sin to the world.
They lost the life God had given in His paradise,
then destined to die and toil the earth for eternity.

Then evil took over and Satan would reign,
God dealt with them with His great flood.
Mankind was cleansed, a new life they begun,
with God's help, a second chance on earth,
they were given.

God chose Abraham to start the Hebrew nation,
they were a special people unto Himself.
A special relationship through His Prophets and Priests,
To bear the truth of His Love for all mankind.

God sent Moses, to deliver His people,
across the desert to a promise land.
As Moses received God's commandments,
and gave unto his people,
but Satan again took command.

Rebellion continued and God was forgotten,
to be like other nations was their desire
So God's punishment was captivity and dispersion,
to all the ungodly nations throughout the World.

God remembered His covenant and began a new work,
to renew their spirit was His mission.
But God's word no longer ruled in their hearts,
as they were caught up in rituals and traditions.

As God had foretold by His prophets of old,
the Messiah came and was rejected and slain.
But His Love for His people still persists,
and some day He will return in all His glory.

His people are gathering back to the promised land,
still awaiting their Messiah as was written.
When He comes again this time they will know,
for His name is Jesus, Whom they had once smitten.

John 3.ver.16

For God so loved the World,
That He gave His only begotten Son.
That who so ever believes in Him,
should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 14.Ver. 6

"Jesus said unto Him"
"I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father.
Except through me"
